Materials List

  • 5.7" x 8.2" caramel colored cardstock
  • 3.7" x 3.5" gold textured cardstock
  • White heart-shaped paper doily sized 5.2" x 5.2"
  • 3"-high natural twig heart
  • 0.7" x 0.3" wooden laser cut out word "Love"
  • 1.4"-wide natural rustic burlap (Hessian) ribbon
  • Suitable 0.6"-wide printed, unbleached linen ribbon

Tip: In this example, a wedding-related word, such as I Do; …bride & groom…; Love You! etc were printed on the linen ribbon, but anything suitable could be used.

  • 0.3"-wide cream colored satin ribbon
  • 2 gold colored split metal wedding rings
  • Quick-drying green gold spray paint
  • Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Glue the one end of the cream ribbon to the back of the twig heart. Twist the ribbon around the heart, cut off any remaining ribbon and glue the second end also in place at the back of the heart.

  2. Give the paper doily an uneven spray with the gold spray paint and allow to dry.

  3. Score the caramel cardstock to create a card sized 5.7" x 4.1".

  4. With the fold at the left, glue the paper doily over the bottom left part of the card and cut off any protruding edges.

  5. Glue the gold textured cardstock to the top of the card.

  6. Glue the burlap ribbon to the bottom of the card and cut off any protruding edges.

  7. Glue the linen ribbon to the bottom of the card, carefully checking that the whole wedding phrase will appear on the card, and cut off any protruding edges.

  8. Center and glue the twig heart on the gold textured cardstock.

  9. Cut another phrase from the linen ribbon and glue it inside the twig heart to the gold textured cardstock.

  10. Glue the wooden word and the two rings in place.
