Make a gorgeous outdoor decoration with paper crafts when you make the Tissue Paper Dragonfly. This mixed media project is a great craft for summer. All you need are a few basic materials that are very inexpensive. Kids will love helping make this craft, but they have to be careful not to tear the tissue paper.

Use fun colors for the wings that will look great when the light shines through them. You will have so much fun with this unique paper craft. Besides home decor, you can use this beautiful dragonfly on other crafting projects, such as cards and boxes.

This dragonfly mixed media project is beautiful. I could making a bunch of these and hanging them like a mobile. Have you ever made butterflies using the same technique? I would think it would be a similar process. I have all of the supplies to make this. Maybe I'll try it with my niece this week.

These tissue paper dragonflys are great. Never worked with tissue paper projects before but these are a must have. I can see these in planters indoors, baby mobile and used as party decorations. I like how the tutorial showed you how you could decorate your own tissue paper by using the white. Is there any way you can make the tissue paper waterproof so I can use it in the garden?

Thanks for the comment! There are waterproofing sprays that work on paper (check the glue aisle of your craft store). I think that would work as long as you spray lightly over the tissue paper. There also may be a way to seal the tissue paper in plastic or laminate. Does anyone else have any ideas? - Krista, editor, AllFreePaperCrafts
