Congrats Grad DIY Shaker Card

Graduation time is coming up, and that means so are graduation parties! Wish the graduate in your life best wishes for the future with the Congrats Grad DIY Shaker Card. This graduation card uses an age-old embellishment that is totally making a comeback. Learn how to add shakers to your cards when you follow this fabulous tutorial. You can use this idea for other cards, too. Use the school colors or the traditional silver and gold for graduation colors. This card will be an excellent way to congratulate the grad.

Materials from Fiskars:

  • Stamp Block Set
  • Fuse Creativity System® Starter Set
  • Medium Design Set 100820 - Oval
  • ProCision™ Rotary Bypass Trimmer (12")
  • Star Pop-Up Punch
  • Circle Lever Punch (X-Large)
  • Monumental Moments Clear Stamps (3"x6")

Other Materials:

  • Metallic, Glittered, and Patterned Paper
  • Small Clear Cellophane Bag
  • Ink Pad
  • Double-stick Tape

Instructions:

1. Begin by punching out several stars and circles from a mix of cardstock, metallic, patterned and glittered papers.

2. Stamp the solid stars and circles using Fiskars Monumental Moments clear stamps.

3. After the ink has dried, stuff a cellophane bag with the confetti.

4. Use your paper trimmer to cut a piece of cardstock measuring six inches by ten inches. Score the center of the card. Center your oval die on the right half of the card and cut out the shape with your Fuse.

5. Randomly stamp the exterior of the card, both front and back, with the Monumental Moments stamps.

6. Use a piece of double-stick tape inside the card so it fills the oval window on the front. Line an envelope with festive, glittered paper and mail this to your all-star grad!
