The desire for calming and relaxing hobbies is on the rise. As the popularity of adult coloring books continues to grow, so too does the inclination to take on a variety of Zen activities. Zentangle, crochet, knitting, and paper quilling are all examples of crafts that have wonderful and calming benefits.

Zen Origami is the next meditative craft for you to take on. If you've never tried origami or dabbled in modular shapes, Zen Origami is an excellent kit for learning a new and calming craft.

The Quarto Group reminds us that, "For centuries, people have delighted in the joy of folding humble pieces of paper into grand figures," and it's true! Origami has not lost its popularity, and more and more merits are revealing themselves. For example, since modular origami involves repetitive and precise folds, origami artists focus on the motions and so their minds are quieted. Achieve a sense of peace through the calming art of modular origami.

The Zen Origami kit comes with the following:

  • 128-page book with instructions for 20+ projects
  • 400 sheets of origami paper
  • 10 unique paper designs with patterned fronts and solid backs

The instructional book includes designs for 2D and 3D projects. Beginners to origami may start with the 2D forms and work up to the 3D ones, although the shapes are simple enough to make the 3D projects that all levels are welcome to try.

An excellent quality of this kit is the packaging. The kit fits into a sleeve, making it easy to transport for on-the-go folding. Inside, trays hold the origami paper and pattern book for easy storage and access.

The modular origami designs look so complex even though they are relatively easy to make! Not only will you enjoy the relaxing and meditative nature of this activity, but you will create little works of art in the process.

I would love to expand my love for working with paper and the fact that is is compact and I can take it pretty much anywhere is a bonus. I would rather be creative my my hand than just sitting watching TV.

The paper used on the cover is stunning. This would be a wonderful way to enjoy making some beautiful items.

Looks like something I could really get into because I already enjoy working with paper but have not tired Origami as of yet.

#BestIdeaEver I love this type of paper craft for adults! I am going to work on this and try to win!

Wow this looks amazing
