Show your Valentine how multidimensional your love really is by making them this gorgeous Dimensional Valentine card for Valentine's Day. This handmade card is simple to assemble with a lot of fun elements that any paper crafter would enjoy. Your significant other will fall head over heels for the eye-catching textures and shapes found on this DIY card. They will want to display it long after Valentine's Day ends so that they are always reminded of your thoughtfulness and have a beautiful piece of art to boot.

From the Designer: There is something magical and special about creating your own valentine for someone you care about. This one is layered, textured, sparkly, and shimmery, all thanks to a few Nuvo products!

Here's how we put this project together and what you will need to do it yourself.

Instructions for the Card:

  1. Cut your cardstock to create your card base – this was cut to 4.5 x 5.5.

  2. Score down the middle and then fold.

  3. Cut your other cardstock down and use your Tangerine to cut them into your shapes.

  4. Then, put your smaller cockle shell cut piece into the embossing folder. Washi tape can be used to keep it straight on the pattern if you want. Run through and emboss.

  5. Using the mousse and foam brush, run onto your embossed piece, adding shimmer and definition to the embossed areas.

  6. Take your heart and cover it with the Nuvo glue. Sprinkle it with the sparkle dust and shake off the excess. Let it dry.

  7. Begin to add your layers to the card base.

  8. Using the crystal drops, carefully add a few pearlescent drops to the corners of the white cardstock and allow it to dry.

  9. Use the scoring tool and score the heart on the back. Fold it and then adhere to the center of the card.
