Vivid Valentines Day Tic-Tac-Toe Card

Materials:

  • 10” x 5” Pink Pearlized Cardstock with Roses Printed on It
  • 4.1” Square Cut from Dark Pink Shimmer Cardstock
  • 3 light pink 0.6” Wide Foam Deco Hearts
  • 3 white 0.6” Wide Foam Deco Hearts
  • One 1” High Pink Wooden Heart
  • Golden Craft Foil
  • Foilart Super-tack Glue Pen
  • Golden Mirror Word (for this project the word “love” was used)
  • 0.4” Wide Pink Belt Ribbon with Printed Hearts
  • 0.3” Wide Neon Pink Satin Ribbon
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Clear-drying Gel Glue (such as bostik clear)

Instructions:

1. Score the 10” x 5” pink pearlised cardstock in half to create a card sized 5” x 5”.

Step 1

2. Use the pencil to draw a tic-tac-toe grid on the dark pink shimmer cardstock square.

3. With the fold at the top, glue the dark pink shimmer cardstock square to the front of the card.

4. Glue the belt ribbon in place at the top and bottom of the card and cut off any protruding edges.

5. Add Super-tack glue to the tic-tac-toe grid lines. Allow the Super-tack glue to dry for about 20 minutes. When the glue is wet, it is blue, but when it is dry it becomes transparent.

6. Press the golden foil down on the glue. Remember that – of course – the golden side of the foil must be on top. Rub the foil over the areas where you have added glue with the Super-tack glue pen and carefully lift the foil.

Step 2

7. Add the hearts glue the wooden heart to the centre of the grid, and then add the rest of the hearts.

Step 3

8. Glue the neon pink satin ribbon to the bottom left corner and cut off any protruding edges.

9. Glue the mirror word in place.
