Give a traditional piece of home decor a makeover with this Thoroughly Modern Mobile. The trick to making a mod-inspired craft is to stick to simple, clean shapes. Be sure to limit yourself to a handful of bold colors in order to make a bigger impact. For example, cut some geometric shapes out of white, black, and red cardstock. With that taken care of, you're halfway through making a mobile already! Tacking on shapes that have been cut from newspaper pages is an easy and eco-friendly way to punch up the style on this DIY mobile.
