Gourmet Christmas Gift Bag

Materials:

• Plain brown paper bag (150mm x 200mm) with rope handles
• 6.2" x 5.4" piece cut from any suitable Christmas scrapbook cardstock
• 2.6" square cut from red shimmer paper
• 5" x 4.3" natural Hessian (burlap)
• Golden mirror word – for this project, the word Peace was used
• Thirteen 4mm small clear flat-sided rhinestone stickers
• One 8mm clear self-adhesive flat-sided flower rhinestone
• White scrapbook stick-on floral ribbon border
• 0.6" wide red satin ribbon with white polka dots
• Thin plastic golden ring
• Small amount of blonde synthetic doll hair
• Angel foam stamp – it should fit on the red shimmer cardstock
• Artline golden calligraphy pen
• Black and pink felt-tip pens
• White acrylic paint
• Paintbrush
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
   

Instructions:

1. Use the paint brush to apply an even layer of the white paint onto the angel stamp.  Press the image onto the red shimmer paper and then carefully lift the stamp so as not to smudge the stamped angel. Allow the stamped angel to dry thoroughly before continuing with the next step.
    
2. Use the golden pen to add detail to the angel’s wings and dress.
   
   
    
3. Glue a bit of hair on the angel’s head, and use the felt-tip pens to add delicate facial features.
    
4. Cut a small piece from the plastic ring and glue it to her head to form the base of the crown. Complete the crown by gluing the flower rhinestone in place.
    
5. Glue seven small rhinestones in a random manner around the angel.
    
6. Glue the scrapbook ribbon border to the bottom of the piece cut form the Christmas scrapbook cardstock.
   
   
    
7. Add a small rhinestone to the center of each flower.
    
8. Glue the piece of scrapbook cardstock to the front of the bag.
    
9. Glue the Hessian to the bag.
   
   
    
10. Glue the red shimmer paper with the angel on top of the Hessian.
     
11. Use the ribbon to make a bow and neatly cut the ends of the bow.
     
12. Glue the bow and mirror word in place.
