Materials:

  • 10.2” x 5.1” Light Blue Marbled Paper
  • 4.6” Square Ordinary White Printer Paper
  • 3.4” Square Ordinary White Printer Paper
  • 2.3” Square Light Gray Marbled Paper
  • 9.7” x 4.7” of Dark Blue Sugar Paper
  • Waterman Brown Ink
  • Versacolor Brown and Celurean Blue Stamp Pads
  • Jablo’s Cosmos Stamps, Pf 007
  • Clear Embossing Powder
  • Acrylic Paint in the Following Two Colors: Powder Blue and Antique Bronze
  • 0.1” Wide Powder Blue Belt Ribbon
  • Upikit Border Punch
  • 3d Self-Adhesive Foam Squares
  • One Drinking Straw
  • A Sponge: Use one that was inside a Medicine Bottle
  • Heat gun
  • Glue
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Score the 10.2” x 5.1” light blue marbled paper in half to create a card sized 5.1” x 5.1”.

2. Take the 4.6” square ordinary white printer paper and dribble a drop of brown ink onto the paper. Use the straw and blow the ink in all directions across the paper. Repeat two or three times more and allow to dry thoroughly.

3. Now create a stamped background for the 4.6” square. Use the sponge to apply an even layer of the powder blue acrylic paint onto the Jablo’s stamp. Be careful not to apply too much or too little paint to the stamp, as you will end up with an uneven effect. Transfer the image and then carefully lift the stamp. Continue until the square has been filled with stamped flowers and allow to dry thoroughly. Clean the stamp before continuing with the next step.

4. Take the 3.4” square ordinary white printer paper, the cosmos stamp and the brown stamp pad. Stamp a flower in the centre of the piece of paper, and add stamped flower leaves to each corner of the square. Allow to dry and clean the stamp.

5. Use the border punch to create a border all around the 3.4” piece of paper.

6. Now take the 2.3” square light gray marbled paper, the cosmos stamp and the celurean blue stamp pad. Stamp a flower in the centre of the piece of paper. While the ink is still wet, sprinkle a liberal amount of embossing powder over the wet ink. Shake off any excess powder and use the heat gun to emboss the powder. The powder will turn shiny once enough heat has been applied. Allow to dry thoroughly. Use the sponge and the antique bronze paint to highlight the edges of the square.

7. With the fold at the left, centre and glue the 4.6” square to the front of the card. “Frame” the square with the belt ribbon and neatly cut off any protruding edges.

8. Centre and glue the 3.4” square to the front of the card.

9. Lastly, use 3D self-adhesive foam squares to affix the 2.3” square to the front of the card.

10. Score the dark blue sugar paper in half and glue to the inside of the card, where a message could be written.
