Instructions:

  1. Select a little wooden box frame, one pack of 3D Foam Butterflies, and some script paper.

    Step 1

  2. Cut the paper to size and insert it into the frame behind the glass.

    Step 2

  3. Remove the butterflies from the backing paper and place them down sticky side up. Cover them with some gilding flakes.

    Step 3

  4. Using a small paint brush, remove the excess leaving a lovely golden coating.

    Step 4

  5. Cut and emboss your foliage die cut.

    Step 5

  6. Adhere your foliage die cut. The 3D Foam Squares stick perfectly to glass and you can trim them to fit smaller die cuts.

    Step 6

  7. Add a line of crystal gems to the middle of the gilded butterflies. You can opt for silver butterflies, too.

    Step 7

  8. For the sentiment, stamp or write your message onto card stock and adhere it to the frame with Crafty Power Tape. There's no problem using this tape on wood.

    Last Step!

    And voila!

Oh! I've really been wanting to get into some mixed media designing and this looks like the perfect springboard! I have several of these things already in my stash and I may substitute as I go! I love script as a background! It's so easy to come by...books abound at garage sales galore. I have quite the selection of butterflies to choose from too! I'll have to dig a bit but I think I can even come up with a frame! What's not to love about this project?!?
