Materials List

  • 12" x 6" cut from a vintage French scrapbook paper
  • A4 sized desert sand colored cardstock
  • 4.6" x 4.6" vintage rose cardstock
  • 4.6" x 0.5" pink striped cardstock
  • Vintage French shutter scrapbook embellishment
  • Left-over piece of light green cardstock
  • Left-over pieces of light brown and gold textured cardstocks
  • One page from an old book
  • 6.4" floral wire
  • Green floral tape
  • 5 small pearl beads
  • 3 small golden bows
  • 3 small silver brads
  • Large petal palm punch from XCut, code XCU 261811
  • Leaf-shaped paper punch
  • Sewing needle
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)

Instructions:

  1. Tightly wrap the floral tape around the floral wire and cut the remaining tape off. Cut the wire into five smaller pieces and bend each piece of wire into a half-a-loop shape. Punch five leaves and glue a leaf to the one end of each of the pieces of wire. Allow to dry while continuing with the rest of the steps.

  2. Score the 12" x 6" vintage French scrapbook paper to create a card sized 6" x 6".

  3. Cut two squares from the A4 sized cardstock, the first square with a length of 5.6" and the second with a length of 5.1". Center and glue the large square to the inside of the card to make the card sturdier. Center and glue the smaller one to the front of the card.

  4. With the fold at the top, glue the 4.6" x 4.6" vintage rose cardstock to the front of the card.

  5. Glue the pink striped cardstock in place.

  6. Bend the side panels of the shutter upwards, and then glue the middle panel to the front of the card.

  7. Punch three flowers each from the light brown and gold textured cardstocks, and three from the page from the old book.

  8. Use the needle to make a small hole in the center of one of the book page flowers. Push the brad prongs gently through the hole. Now make a hole in one of the gold textured flowers and add it to the back of the book page flower. Lastly, make a hole in one of the light brown flowers and add it to the back of the gold textured flower. Turn the flowers over and spread the brad prongs apart on the back side. The brad will keep the flowers in place. Slightly bend the petals of the book page flower and gold textured flower upwards. Do the same with the other flowers, so that you will have three combined flowers.

  9. Glue the three combined flowers to the "window sill".

  10. Glue the wire leaves, the pearl beads and the bows in place to complete the arrangement on the window sill.
