My favorite butterfly is a white butterfly . Because the day of my Mom's services a white butterfly kept flying around her garden as people came to give us there condolences. So any time we see a white butterfly we say "Mom is her".

My favorite is the Monarch, not for its beauty, but because of the strength and perseverance within. It is one of the things I think about when I am challenged. The strength, will, and tenacity it takes to begin the long arduous migration journey is so inspiring. If the butterfly so small and fragile can do this, how much more can I endure.

In terms of crafted butterflies, I like the quilled butterflies and the wax paper butterflies. It would be fun to look up butterfly varieties on the net and use pictures to make "true to form" butterflies - correct shape, coloring, markings
