Materials List

  • Stencil cut from provided pattern or a store bought one of a leaf
  • Standard white economy paper plate
  • Thick orange crepe paper (use the non-bleeding type)
  • A6 sized pumpkin yellow cardstock
  • A6 sized brown cardstock
  • 7" of 0.7" wide red ribbon
  • 9 15mm red pom-poms
  • 9 10mm clear flat-sided rhinestones
  • 3 8mm clear self-adhesive flat-sided flower rhinestones
  • Selection of small brown wooden and red/yellow glass beads
  • 3 small bows, made from 1.5mm thick brown waxed cotton cord
  • Peach-colored acrylic paint
  • Plastic lid with a diameter of 5.6"
  • Paint brush
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)

Instructions:

  1. Place and center the 5.6" plastic lid onto the paper plate and trace all around it.

  2. Cut out the inner circle to make the paper base for the wreath.

  3. Use the paint brush to give the base of the wreath a wash with the peach-colored paint and allow to dry thoroughly.

  4. Cover the paper plate wreath with the orange crepe paper: Cut the crepe paper into 4" sized squares. Take a square and crumple it up. Use glue to affix it to the paper plate wreath. Continue adding crumpled pieces of crepe paper to the wreath until the whole wreath has been covered.

  5. Make a loop with the ribbon and glue it to the back of the wreath. Allow to dry while continuing with the rest of the steps.

  6. Trace and cut out 6 leaves from the pumpkin yellow cardstock and 3 from the brown cardstock. Glue the leaves onto the wreath.

  7. Complete the wreath by gluing the rest of the materials (pom-poms, rhinestones, beads, and bows) in place.
