It's All About the Music Card
Craft a greeting card for the music lover in your life. The "It's All About the Music" Card is a lovely and simple greeting card craft that is perfect for any occasion. The black and white colors are reminiscent of music notes in a book of sheet music, and the square charm is a great embellishment as well. If you have little to no experience with embossing, this craft from Spellbinders is a great project to learn. Create a simple and elegant card for your next paper craft.
Materials:
Spellbinders Supplies:
- GC-001 Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine
- GC-003 Raspberry Spacer Plate
- MB3-003 Spellbinders Media Mixáge™ Square Hatpin Bezels
- MD1-008 Spellbinders Media Mixáge Squares Two Dies
- EL-011 Music M-Bossabilities™
- F-014 Delicate Pastels Premium Craft Foils Assortment
Other Supplies:
- May Arts: black satin ribbon
- Bazzill Basics Paper®: cream cardstock
- SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L®: 3D Foam Squares
- Cardboard 1" x 1"
- Round Nose Pliers
- Glue Dots
- Scissors
- Paper trimmer
- Adhesive tape
Instructions:
1. Trim a 4 ¾" x 6 ¼" piece from cream cardstock.
2. Place trimmed paper inside Music Side B folder and emboss using Grand Calibur® machine.
3. Trim a 5" x 6 ½" panel from cream cardstock.
4. Using foam squares, mount embossed piece to front of trimmed panel.
5. Cut a 1" x 1" square from cardboard. Affix inside Hatpin with a glue dot.
6. Cut Squares Two Dies #2 (with #1 being smallest die template) from a piece of foil and emboss with Music Side A folder. Adhere on top of cardboard.
7. Using round nose pliers, roll metal pin into a coil. Refer to photo.
8. Thread ribbon through coil, glue pendant to card with a glue dot and secure ribbon ends in back of card with adhesive tape.

I like the Spellbinders Music M-Bossabilities embossing folder. I think that using a white core cardstock that is sanded after being embossed would make this card even better looking.

I would give this card to my dear friend Mary who is a music teacher. She lost her Mom earlier this year and is having a very hard time dealing with her loss. I think this card would put a smile on her face!
